Wave Rock Retreat Layouts

I just had an awesome weekend away with 60 other keen scrappers. It was Scrappin' Outback's 5th birthday and 9th retreat and had a jam packed weekend full of scrapping, laughs and great food with heap of wonderful women.
Amy and I travelled up early Friday morning thinking we would be one of the first to arrive, but at 9am the place was already filling fast with some ladies already scrapbooking and others grabbing some stock before anyone else got in there first ;) Hopefully I can add some photos of the hall and shop to this post once Sharon gets back and emails me some..hint hint :)

and Sunday arvo was my 'Power Scrapping' class which is where they scrapped 5 easy layouts in 2 hours.

I was able to get some other layouts done too. This one is from Lis Cassey's 'Celebrate' class but I changed it to bush walking and used the gorgeous Cosmo Cricket 'Earth Love' collection...

I ran out of photos by Saturday afternoon so Karen announced that I would scrap other peoples photos for $15 a page to go towards cancer research...that raised $45 yay!

It was such a lovely weekend and I loved meeting so many new ladies..hopefully we can get to know each other even better at future retreats :)

Mother's Day

I hope you beautiful mothers had a fab day yesterday for Mother's Day!
Last night Murray had an extremely early night so I scrapbooked a layout for Mother's Day. It has photos of my Grandma and her 3 daughters, my mum with her 3 daughters and me with my 3 daughters.

Women of Purpose Craft Group

If you are in the Narrogin area and would like some casual scrapbooking/craft time with other ladies, our craft group meets every second Monday from 10.15am - 1pm at Narrogin Christian Centre. Click on the flier for dates.

We also are running Saturday night workshops once a month. Our first class is just in time for Mother's Day and we will be making a Journal Jar. This is a decorated journal and jar full of journaling prompts to help you record your life as a keepsake to hand to your children. You could also make it for your mother or father to fill out so you have their history recorded. The concept is you pull out a journaling prompt and glue it to the top of your page and then write what the question asks...for example... 'What is your favourite childhood holiday?' or 'What characteristics and personatily traits did you inherit from your father and mother?'. There are about 100 prompts that get curled into scrolls and placed in the jar. Tis will make a fabulous Mother's Day gift.

Yesterday at craft group I was able to complete 3 layouts. I was so keen to scrap after the retreat so just left my stash in the boot for craft group and scrapped my little heart out.

Finally got around to scrapping my 30th birthday photos.

I scrapped ALL day!

I have been desperate to get my Retreat Class done so planned to scrap yesterday and get on top of it all while Murray took the girls to Wagin Woolerama. I have now finished 2 examples of my Layout Class and will hopefully pick up my supplies for my Off the Page Class this week. The Wave Rock Retreat is coming around very fast and I am very excited about teaching and bringing some friends with me from Narrogin and also my Mum again. I cherish these times once every 6 months.

Last night after a full day of scrapping Amy came over and I got one more layout done...here it is...very simple but I like it ;)

Some Holiday Layouts

I am on holidays at the moment staying at Mum's and managed to get a couple of layouts done last night. I am hoping to catch up with some scrapping buddies while I am here ...but seem to be running out of time. Lissa, Lisa and Karen, if you are reading this...we NEED to scrap!

This first layout is photos from the SoF retreat...I chose photos where we were all laughing as that is what we seemed to do for most of the weekend.

and this layout says that my girls are the best gift I could ever receive as they bring me so much joy. I got this idea from Kerryn.

I have brought enough photos for 11 more layouts....so hopefully in the next 5 days I will get a chance to scrap again.

Yay..More Layouts Done

Last night I scrapped with Amy again...we are going to try and at least scrap together once a week and will be starting out Craft Group next year...probably in one of our homes.

Night with my Sister-in-Law

Both our hubbies were away so Mick and I had a scrap night last night and I stayed the night so I didn't have to drive home:)
I was able to do 4 layouts which I am wrapped with.
These first 2 were from a TLC kit I was given at the Scrap of Faith retreat.





The journaling in this Princess layout is from the 'His Princess' book we all received at the retreat. I am just loving it and will probably make some more layouts using the letters in it which are love letters form God to us written around Bible verses.

God's Got Me...no matter what.

I just loved this photo when I saw it on one of Karen's layouts. It reminds me that God has my life in his control...as long as I try to live my life in a way that would please Him and obey Him....I believe I can trust Him with my life. He is the one who created me so He knows what is best for me :D I could try til I turned blue to live this life and succeed in life, but I know that without Jesus leading me and without His love and grace I would get nowhere.

Digital Scrapbooking

On Thursday I bought a new printer ...YAY!!! Its a Canon MP610 and prints photos beautifully.

I have been printing off all my digital scrapbooking layouts in 8x8 inch and have a lovely AMM album to put them into. I have discovered that I hadn't saved about 6 of them in a large format so I can't print them, so I am re doing some of them that I don't want to lose.

One of them was one I made last year that I love. It's called 'Lord, Heal our Land'...it took me ages to find all the photos again and while searching I was deeply affected by some photos I saw on Google Images...especially when I googled 'famine'. We are so blessed to live this life here in Australia.
