Gotta love Felt!

I have just used felt on my layout for the very first time! I told the girls on SoF a while back that I can't buy felt in Narrogin so the lovely Tam and Karen sent me a heap! Thanks so much girls. I was inspired by Ngaire's blog to do a felt rainbow on my layout...and then it kept going...raindrops, flowers, grass, stars....I am sooooo happy with how it has turned out.

Murray is heading off for the week so I intend to keep all my scrap supplies on the kitchen table all week and to see how many layouts I can get done while he is away. I'll be teaching kids worshops most days, but at night it will keep me occupied.

Family Heirlooms

At the moment I am working on a layout all about our family heirlooms....well I haven't actually started the layout, but I have done a photo shoot of the items we have. We have items from both Murrays sides and my sides which is great. Here is a collage of some of the collection (not all in this collage)

This is one of the layout topics for the Book of Me course we are running at Country Scrapbooking. Country Scrapbooking will soon be an online store as well as a shop front in Narrogin WA.....keep an eye out for more news!

Kid's Holiday Workshops

I fell inlove with this Bella kit when I saw it yesterday and just HAD to use it. This layout is for a kid's distressing technique class I am teaching in the school holidays.

Every school holidays our local scrap shop "Country Scrapbooking and Accessories" holds 2 weeks of kids workshops. These holidays I am teaching;
*Distressing Techniques layout
*Pirates Treasure Trove
*Princess Diary
*Basic Jewellery Making (necklace, bracelet and earrings on tigertail)
*Canvases
*Accordian Book
*Set of 3 cards (scrap style)
Each class runs twice a day, first for the 5-8's then for the 9 and overs.


I am really looking forward to working these school holidays. Murray is taking the girls away for the first week but for the second week they will have to come along to work with me and either join in on the classes or watch DVDs.

New Masculine Layout Blog

Yesterday I spent the whole day staring at a photo of my husband Murray I wanted to scrap and was totally uninspired. This happens a lot when I try and scrapbook men. I have no problem scrapbooking girlie layouts because you can add flowers and ribbon and girlie stuff, but when it comes to Murray, he doesn't appreciate those elements on his layouts. Anyway, it got me motivated to start a blog just about scrapbooking our MEN. It's called Masculine Scrapbooking Layouts and I would love it if you would email me your 'manly' layouts so I can have a variety of scrappers layouts on it. Also, I would love you to (if you feel lead to) add my link to your own blogs to advertise it a bit.
I'm looking forward to watching this new blog grow with a wide variety of Masculine layouts.
