A Scrap Camp

I was blessed with a weekend away with my new friend Nicky to her Kazzazz Scrap Camp in Baldivis.  I was able to get a few layouts completed as well as some unfinished projects finished at last.  All day Saturday I made Twocan Stitch orders and made some pocket money :) I had a very tiring but awesome weekend with a great group of ladies.

   

Button Art

I was asked to help out with a friends daughters birthday party craft activity. She had the idea of button art and I came up with an example for the girls. It was actually heaps of fun creating art from buttons! I put my finished piece on Twocan Stitch and it sold plus I have 2 more orders. A butterfly and an S monogram. I'll be doing more of these I think :)

Straps!

In the past couple of weeks I have made camera straps and today I made myself a guitar strap. I'm loving sewing! Not sure when I'll get back to scrapbooking again but I'm sure I will here and there.

Teen Birthday Card

I was asked to make a large birthday can for a friends 16th birthday party for the guests to write in. Having girls, I didn't have any teen boy papers or embellishments in my stash so I went shopping. We have 4 shops in our little town that sell scrapbooking supplies but not one of them had anything for teen boys! Dyllan loves his music so I knew I wanted to feature that. For my last resort I headed to our music shop to find supplies. He gave me a sheet of music and some picks.
I went home and downloaded a drawing of an electric guitar and then did my best at paper piecing the guitar together out of scrap paper. I'm happy with how it turned out.

A Dad and his Daughters

I love this photo so much of Murray and his girls.  We had ridden our motorbikes out to some caves and I took this of them in the cave on my iPhone.  I love it!

Been a while!!

As you can tell by how active this blog is, I haven't been doing any creating lately. I have put Twocan Stitch on hold for the time being to have a break and haven't done any other form of craft. I do desire to learn to crochet though as I want to make Amigurumi creatures :)
I'm doing distance Ed with Bree at the moment so my free time when I'm not working is filled with schooling.
Everything for a season right? :)

October 2011 Wave Rock Retreat layouts

Well I have finally gotten around to uploading my layouts from the retreat 2 weeks ago! (Thanks to a reminder from Lissa)

I was able to get 5 singles and 3 doubles finished as well as helping Karen in the shop.

It was such a great weekend once again with all new tutors!

These two layouts are from Mistra Hoolahan’s classes.  I LOVED getting dirty and learning some simple but very effective techniques.

 

These next 3 layouts were from our trip to the snow in Melbourne in July.  I have done a double layout for each of the girls albums and will do another double for our family album.

I’m off to Lissa’s tomorrow and hope to get some more scrapping done :)

Next week I am doing ‘A Week in the Life’ by Ali Edwards (Google it to find out more).  I will be taking my camera with me where ever I go and taking photos of everything I do (minus the private things) and then at the end of the week I will scrapbook an album about my week.  I plan to upload my photos here each day so you can follow along if you like!

Retreat Time

Only 3 more sleeps then I head off to Hyden again to the Wave Rock Scrapbooking Retreat.
I'm not teaching this year, but I am helping out in the shop as well as taking my Twocan Stitch accessories along. This is the first time I have sold my hair accessorises like this... Other then online.
I have spent the day making price tags, backing cards and a catalogue in preparation. I am working the next two days but hope to get some more products made at night before I leave.
I will be taking Hair Lackies, Hair Clips, Headbands and Necklaces with me as well as my catalogue for orders.
